The finals of the bowling event in the 15th National Games mass competition have started

The opening ceremony of the bowling event for the mass competition of the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China was held on August 21 at the Kai Tak Sports Park Bowling Center. The opening ceremony was concise, exciting, and rich in the characteristics of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Shen Fengjun, Permanent Secretary of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Jiang Shicai, Director and Party Secretary of the Small Ball Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China; Yang Deqiang, Director of the National Games Coordination Office of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Zhang Dongjin, Deputy Director of the Mass Sports Department of the Executive Committee of the Guangdong Division of the 15th National Games and Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau; Zhang Huiying, Assistant Director of the National Games Coordination Office of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Pei Guang, First-level Investigator of the Comprehensive Coordination Division of the Mass Sports Department of the General Administration of Sport of China; and Pang Zheng, Director of the Third Sports Department of the Small Ball Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and Secretary-General of the China Bowling Association attended the opening ceremony.
On that day, 27 teams entered the venue in sequence, and the ceremony began with the solemn national anthem. Hong Kong athlete Gan Zhaolin took the oath on behalf of all athletes, promising to participate in this National Games with the spirit of fair competition, inclusiveness, and equality, and to respect and abide by all competition rules.
Hong Kong referee You Jiachang took the oath on behalf of all referees, promising to respect the participating athletes, act impartially without favoritism, and successfully complete all refereeing tasks.
Shen Fengjun, Permanent Secretary of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, announced the official start of the competition.
Bowling, which is included for the first time as a mass event in the National Games, will be held from August 22 to 24 at the Kai Tak Sports Park Bowling Center. The competition includes men's and women's individual events, doubles, and five-person team events, with 27 teams and a total of 168 athletes participating. As hosts of this competition, the Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau teams each sent five male and five female athletes to participate.
