China Bowling Exploration Project Develops New Path

The Chinese Bowling Association recently held its 2024 annual work meeting in Xiamen, Fujian. In 2024, bowling events will be rich and diverse, and the event system will be increasingly improved.
In 2024, the Chinese Bowling Association hosted a total of 17 events, a record high in nearly 10 years. Not only did the newly established National Senior Bowling Friendship Tournament achieve comprehensive coverage of all age groups, but it also successfully built a three-series event system encompassing circuit events, championships, and special events.
The national training team's training and competition have yielded initial results, with a steady improvement in competitive level and the successful completion of international competitions. In the Asian Youth Championships, the young players showed significant improvement compared to last year; in the Asian Championships, veteran players fought bravely and ultimately secured qualification for the 2025 World Championships.
New progress has been made in training, promotion, and project popularization, and the mass base has been continuously consolidated. This year, bowling held two primary coach training courses in Dalian and Tianjin, inviting well-known national team coaches from abroad to teach. It is worth mentioning that 14 new bowling alleys were added this year. In terms of institutional construction, the Chinese Bowling Association continues to improve various management systems and workflows. In addition, to further promote the popularization and development of bowling, the Chinese Bowling Association has not only increased its investment but also strengthened its market development efforts.
Bowling has been included in the mass event program of the 15th National Games in 2025. "Next year, the association will carry out relevant work around the core task of the bowling competition at the 15th National Games," said Pang Zheng, director of the Comprehensive Ball Games Department of the General Administration of Sport of China's Small Ball Sports Management Center. "We will make full use of the association's existing resources and advantages, plan events in an orderly manner, and promote the in-depth integration of events, bases, training, national team building, and market development to promote the development of bowling to a higher level."
